MGB Pick Up

Converted to a pick up in 1974 and is currently the only one registered with DVLA – though we have traced 4 others which include one in Florida and a long wheel base model in The Netherlands.
The restoration was a very steep learning curve with both the mechanics and the body work and took almost 4 years to complete. It came with all the usual problems of a full restoration together with the added challenge of having to make bespoke parts to fit the conversion such as the rear window. The ‘pick up’ was only a wooden surround but we have replaced that with solid walnut with a hinged lid that hides a large storage space together with smaller compartments for the battery, spare wheel and tools.
