Automatic MGB GT

Sold in April 1972 from University Motors Ltd.,
The Borg-Warner type 35 three-speed automatic transmission, as fitted to this car, was offered as an optional extra on the MGB Mark 2 from late 1967. This option ceased from August 1973.
It is stated that out of a total production run of some 375,000 MGB roadsters and 125,000 MGB GT’s only 452 roadsters and 1,285 GT’s were fitted with automatic gearboxes. Most of these were sold in the U.K.
Not being a popular option during its production run, the cars are now highly sought after.
